Akufo-Addo’s presidency will bring positive change – Rev Martey

All indications point to the fact that Nana Akufo-Addo’s presidency will bring positive change, he said in a broadcast interview at the Independence Square where the president-elect Nana Akufo-Addo will be sworn-in.

“All the signs are that there is going to be a positive change. We should all support Nana so that we all move forward,” he told Adom TV.

In a separate interview with GHOne Television, the outgoing moderator of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana said the country was terribly managed under the Mahama administration, hoping that Akufo-Addo’s presidency will bring relief to Ghanaians.

“Every concerned Ghanaian knows where our country was heading toward. Some of us realised it, we spoke against it, we were insulted but we were never discouraged,” Rev. said Martey

He said he will criticism the Akufo-Addo administration if they take the path of the Mahama administration.

“When wise people rule, the citizenry becomes happy and we hope as I have known Nana (Akufo-Addo), he does not make many too mistakes and I hope that the mistakes that were made in the past, he will not repeat them, he will rectify them and build a strong foundation for Ghana’s development,” he said.

Rev. Martey stoked controversy last year after alleging that the out-going Mahama administration sought to bribe him to keep him silent from voicing on national issues.

Rev Marty said his only dream is to have a better Ghana for the benefit of all Ghanaians.

He further added that he will pray for the Akufo-Addo administration to succeed.
