The first power barge to produce 225 megawatts of electricity to alleviate the rolling power cuts is yet to set sail to Ghana.The  barge was  moved from the quay after commissioning to create space for other vessels to berth. Sources in Turkey intimated that as at Monday, 2nd November, 2015, the Ghanaian authorities were seeking partnership for the provision of fuel for the barge.

Cameroon international Samuel Eto’o visited the Kotobabi JHS3 Park on Tuesday to promote the FIFA ’11 for Health’ programme. The former Barcelona and Chelsea star arrived in Ghana with FIFA Chief Medical Officer Prof Jiri Dvorak on Monday.

The ’11 for Health’ ambassador will visited the Kotobabi JHS3 and Alajo JHS3 before holding a meeting with the Ghana Football Association president and Executive Committee at noon.

The Police in the western region have begun investigations into the circumstances that led to the 40 year old Naana allegedly poisoning her two daughters, Maame Serwah, 8 and Maame Fulba,6 to death on Sunday November 1 2015.  According to the western regional commander of the Ghana Police Service, DCOP Alex Quainoo, “Naana, after a court order is sought will be sent to the Ankaful Psychiatric Hospital in Cape Coast to establish or disproof her alleged mental derailed state”.

Members of the National Executive Council (NEC) of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) have organised a meeting despite a statement issued by the suspended chairman Paul Afoko asking NEC to ignore the meeting by the second vice chairman and acting chairman of the party, Freddie Blay. According to Mr. Afoko, he is unaware of the meeting neither is the general secretary Kwabena Agyepong.

Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan has arrived in Accra from his China base .The SIPG star was picked up in a gold Rolls Royce valued at GHS 1.5m [GHS1,531,620] .Gyan is expected to lead Ghana against Comoros on November 13.
