'Pastor' grabbed for stealing instruments from church

Presiding Elder of the church, Opoku Sarkodie who confirmed this said the suspect unlawfully entered the church premises after the church had closed from a convention Tuesday dawn.
According to him, the suspect stole musical instruments, three amplifiers, two microphones and one double equalizer valued at GH¢10,000.

Elder Sarkodie further indicated that the suspected robber told a taxi driver he picked after the robbery that he was a pastor at the Pentecost church and was only conveying the instruments to another location.
“After closing from convention Tuesday, this fake pastor broke into our church and stole our instruments. He subsequently boarded a taxi after the robbery where he lied to the driver that he is actually the pastor and wanted to convey the things to the other church. He was, however, arrested upon a tip-off” the Presiding Elder told Accra-based Adom FM in Twi.
He said the suspected robber has been arrested but the items stolen are yet to be retrieved.
Police have since launched investigations into the incident.
