William Atuguba is acting Chief Justice

Justice Atuguba once acted as Chief Justice from May 25, 2016, until June 3, 2016, while Justice Georgina Theodora Woode was outside the country on official duties.

This is because Justice Georgia Theodora Woode has taken her leave prior to her retirement.

The Speaker of Parliament, Prof Mike Ocquaye in introducing the dignitaries in Parliament before President Nana Akufo-Addo delivered his first state of the nation address, introduced Justice Atuguba as the acting Chief Justice.

He was also the leader of the panel that sat on the election petition in 2012.
