The flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Nana Akufo-Addo at press conference at the headquarters of the party says the circumstances of the death of Adams Mahama has shaken our party.

-The sense of despair has been felt by many in the party.

-It not surprising that regional chairmen see the attack on one of them as an attack on all of them.

-My first call on all party members is to cease fire.

-President Kufuor remains an icon to the party and his legacy must be jealously guarded

-None of us in the NPP should forget that we have an election to win in 18 months

-The law enforcement agencies must bring a quick resolution to the events in Bolgatanga

-We will hold President John Mahama to his word that justice will be delivered for Adams Mahama

I will tolerate chaos within our party

-National Officers must have access to the party headquarters and work without any inhibition

-We must commend the party's women organizer for the call for a week of fasting & prayers

-The NPP is not the first party to be in crisis and will not be the last to go out of crisis stronger

-Let us stand together, shoulder to shoulder and make it happen for the NPP and mother Ghana
