"Open Day" at public hospitals

The OPD of the Korle Bu Teaching hospital is now back to life.

 

Patients have started turning up at the various Out-Patient Departments at Korle Bu teaching Hospital.

This is after doctors called off their strike on Friday.

The doctors went on strike for three weeks demanding conditions of service.

During this time OPDs at the Korle Bu teaching hospital were empty.

But a visit to the hospital this morning by Pulse.com.gh showed the turn up has increased and doctors are attending to patients

PRO for the Korle Bu teaching hospital, Mustapha Salifu  speaking to Pulse.com.gh confirmed that doctors are at post and asked patients to turn up at the facility.

Turn out at Ridge Hospital

Veryfew patients had turned up at the Ridge hospital at the time of the visit of Pulse.com.gh

Medical director at the hospital Dr. Obeng Apori told Pulse.com.gh that doctors have resumed full operations.

Update from Police Hospital

The Police hospital is still recording huge numbers despite the announcement by the doctors.

The Ghana Medical Association and government are expected to go back to the negotiating today on the GMA's condition of service.
