Court orders police to produce Alajo murder suspect “Dead or Alive”

Earlier, sympathizers of the 33-year old deceased mechanic, Yaw Boadi, clad in red arm bands expressed their displeasure about the absence of the suspect in court and threaten to embark on a demonstration.

The Abeka District Court has ordered the police to produce the businessman facing trial for allegedly shooting a mechanic at Alajo Railway Crossing in Accra, dead or alive at the court’s next sitting.

The order was given after Chief Inspector Hanson Armah told the court that he had been informed by the Case Investigator that, the accused was indisposed and was receiving medical attention at the Prison’s infirmary.

Earlier, sympathizers of the 33-year old deceased mechanic, Yaw Boadi, clad in red arm bands expressed their displeasure about the absence of the suspect in court and threaten that, they would march from the Abeka District Court premises to the Tesano Police Station over what they referred to as questionable absence of the accused in court.

The matter was however adjourned to October 16 for the next sitting.

It would be recalled that, on August 8, this year, the victim was shot after an argument ensued between him and the accused, Nana Frimpong.

The accused who had parked his red Hyundai car at the spot got angry when the deceased allegedly asked him to park it well to enable him park his 207 Benz bus.

During the argument, Nana Frimpong allegedly pulled a gun out of his car and shot Boadi in the stomach.

The victim fell unconscious and was rushed to the Ridge Hospital by his colleagues, but he could not survive.
