The Vice President’s return sparked an ecstatic atmosphere, with many members of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) making their way to the airport to welcome him.

He was treated to hugs and handshakes on arrival, having been away for the past 12 days.

Dr. Bawumia traveled to the UK to seek medical attention after he complained of “not feeling too well”, a statement from the Flagstaff House said when he left the country.

The state of his health has been the subject of discussion in the public, after reports from certain quarters claimed he had suffered stroke.

However, the claims were debunked by government with Majority Leader Osei Kyei Mensah-Bonsu stating that the Vice President will arrive in the country by the end of this week.

Indeed, Dr. Bawumia has now finally touched down in the country after spending 12 days in the UK as part of his medical leave.

It was all smiles as he was welcomed back by party faithful and government officials, including the president.
