FDA names Procold, Zentel, others as unregistered drugs
The FDA has released a list of some unregistered drugs shipped into the country between 2012 and 2013.

Officials of the Food and Drugs Authority disclosed this when they met the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of Parliament in connection with their operations on Monday, August 7.

The drugs mentioned are part of a list of 72 drugs the FDA said were imported into the country between 2012 and 2013, without authorisation.

The drugs on the list are said to be used for treating flu, malaria, and others.
Meanwhile, the CEO of the FDA Delese Mimi Darko has said that her outfit is putting in place measures to block the unapproved routes used by some persons to smuggle such drugs into the country.
She said the FDA is setting up offices to block unapproved routes which are usually used by unscrupulous people to smuggle drugs into the country.
