The Ashanti Regional Minister, Simon Osei Mensah has indicated that the cause of death of students at Kumasi Academy is Ebola-related.
In an interview with Kumasi-based Nhyira FM, the minister said: “This is not malaria and people are saying….it is likely to be Ebola.”
How the Minister arrived at this conclusion is not readily known since health professionals say they are still conducting investigations into the shocking deaths at the institution.
At least, 3 students of Kumasi Academy are reported to have died within one week.
This brings 7, the number of student deaths this year alone. Most parents whose children are in the school are worried over the alarming incident.
