The founder and leader of the Glorious Word and Power Ministry, Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah, has been picked up by the National Security for his safety.

Rev Owusu Bempah

It follows intelligence that his safety could be compromised after he prophesied the death of some prominent leaders in the country, including the National Chief Imam.

His Church at Odorkor in the Greater Accra Region was attacked and properties vandalized by some Muslim youth who were angered by his prophecy about the National Chief Imam.

Armed police officers have now been stationed at the church.

And the Chief Imam has strongly condemned the attack on Owusu Bempah's church, calling for calm and restraint.

Mynewsgh is reporting that he will be released later in the day and escorted home by two armed policemen.

Meanwhile, the leader of the group that attacked Owusu Bempah's church was detained after he turned himself in to the police.

He has since been released.
