The biggest issue plaguing the police service is political interference, the head of Public Relations of the Accra Regional Police Command, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Effia Tenge, has said.

She disclosed that the police are disrupted by interference from influential people such as media personalities and politicians.

"If they are caught, let the law work. The interferences from all angles, be it political, be it wherever from people in authority...it affects our work so let's be guided," DSP Effia Tenge said on Accra FM.

She mentioned Okada riders who run errands for these people tend to interfere in the prosecution process.
