KABA to be buried on December 16

The burial will be preceded by a wake keeping on the 15 December and a thanksgiving service on December 17.

The final funeral rites were disclosed at KABA’s one week memorial service at the forecourt of the Multimedia Group Limited in Accra.

KABA, until his death on November 18, hosted Asempa FM’s “Ekosii sen” afternoon political show.

He died at the Korle-bu Teaching Hospital after he was rushed there following a short illness.

The actual cause of his death has not been confirmed but sources say he was diabetic.

His death broke many hearts among Ghanaians and across the political divide.

He has been eulogized for his starling career as a radio host who showed great interviewing skills, exhibited neutrality and a firm moderator.

Reactions

President Akufo-Addo expressed shock at his death saying he was "undoubtedly one of the most talented journalists of his generation."

Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia also expressed shock at his demise asking God to give his widow, family and the media fraternity fortitude to bear this painful loss.

On his part, former President John Mahama expressed grief at his death.

"A sad day for us all. Received the shocking news of the passing of KABA," he said, adding: "My condolences to the family, MBG and the media fraternity."
