Residents face eviction from Kaiser Flat in Tema
Over 400 persons are facing mass ejection following a court eviction order.

The ejection exercise is scheduled for Thursday, February 1, 2018.
However, residents expressed reluctance to shift to transit camps. Some locals fear to lose their properties.
The residents' fears are not unfounded. There have been instances of evacuees continuing to live in the transit accommodation as redevelopment of the buildings faced hurdles.
In June 2017, the TDC together with the police stormed the Kaiser Flats to evict over 400 occupants.
The order was issued by the Tema High Court in 2013 after the TDC had ruled that the flats failed structural integrity tests.
