Hundreds of devastated fans bid KABA farewell as he’s laid to rest

The former host of Asempa FM’s “Ekosii Sen” political talk show was laid to rest at the Osu Cemetery after a burial service which was heavily represented by politicians across the political divide.

Clad in red and black, heartbroken mourners file pass his body which was placed at the centre of the burial service grounds. Some burst out in tears.

They then walked from the State House to the Osu Cemetery singing dirges where the former broadcaster was laid to rest.

Earlier, his wife, Valentina Acheampong, in a moving tribute, said there was never a dull moment with her late husband who died at the Korle-bu Teaching Hospital on November 18.

"There was never a dull moment with you. You were the perfect husband anyone would wish for. I can’t believe you are gone but I take consolation in the fact that you are in the bosom of our Lord. I am glad you knew the lord," a tribute read on her behalf said.

“Me Kwadwo as I called you and your response was MVOAS the abbreviation of my name. Fare thee well sweet Joe,” she said.

KABA died aged 37 after a short illness.
