Nana Owusu Pinkrah's allegations are in respect of calls by some tutors and staff of the college for the dismissal its Principal, professor Ahmed Adu Oppong over claims of financial malfeasance.
The chief’s claims follow calls by the said tutors and staff of the college for the dismissal of the principal of the school, professor Ahmed Adu Oppong.
The Ministry of Health has asked Prof Ahmed Adu Oppong, to step aside in order to allow for an investigation into allegations of some financial malfeasance levelled against him by some tutors.
However, a youth group in the area, the Kintampo Youth Movement who were unhappy with the ministry’s decision stormed the premises of the College of Health on Tuesday, October 3 to halt activities on the campus.
It took personnel of the Ghana police service to calm the youth who said the development is a deliberate action by some of the tutors to get rid of the Director in order to allow their preferred person to be appointed to head the college.
“All the traditional leaders in Kintampo want Prof to continue working as the Director.
“Even if he is made to step aside, we will want him back because he has done nothing wrong. Definitely, he will be exonerated by the investigations.”
Meanwhile, speaking to Accra FM in relation to the developments in his area, Nana Owusu Pinkrah made further allegations that underscored those made by the youth earlier.
