We'll give the rest of medical equipment to 6 other hospitals outside North Tongu – Ablakwa

Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has revealed that the Volta Regional Hospital and five others outside his constituency will benefit from the remainder of the medical equipment imported from the United States of America to equip the newly built modern surgical theatre in the constituency.

Imported medical equipment

The Member of Parliament for North Tongu in the Volta Region made this known in a Facebook post on his page on Tuesday, August 16, 2022.

According to the lawmaker, sharing is caring, hence the decision to let other health facilities in the region benefit from the remainder of the expensive-looking equipment.

“I am glad to announce that 6 other hospitals outside my beloved North Tongu constituency & the Volta Regional Hospital would be benefiting from the excess distribution of our imported medical equipment after we commission our Surgical Theatre Project,” he wrote.

On Friday, the constituency managed to clear a fully-loaded 40-foot container of medical equipment shipped from the US.

Ablakwa, could not hide his joy at the successful arrival of the equipment.

He took to his Facebook page and other social media platforms to share photos of the container and some of the expensive and complex-looking equipment.

“Great news for my beloved constituents.

“Yesterday we successfully cleared our fully loaded 40-foot container of medical equipment shipped from the US for our historic modern Surgical Theatre Project,” the lawmaker wrote on Sunday, August 14,2022, further revealing: “Installations begin this week, ahead of commissioning.”

The “historic modern Surgical Theatre Project” is just one of the many life-changing initiatives by the MP over the years to make life worth living for his constituents.

The project, when completed and launched, will go a long way to not only improve healthcare delivery in North Tongu but also benefit the entire region.

As usual, Ghanaians have been hailing Ablakwa for his consistency in prioritizing the wellbeing and comfort of his constituents, with some people jokingly asking him to pull the brakes or they will relocate to his constituency.

It is for this and many other enviable things the Ranking Member of Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee has achieved for his “beloved constituency” that duly earned him the best MP for the year 2021 title.
