According to a report on CitiFMOnline, Casley Hayford, though he believes that the president is not to blame for the power crisis, believes Mahama’s comments indicate that his policies and plans being implemented to solve the problem have failed and must therefore step down.“When I said Mahama is not to be blame he says he is responsible, I don’t have a problem with him accepting responsibility, but if he is accepting responsibility then he has to resign because it has failed. Whatever it is that he has tried to do as far as the is concerned he has not succeeded so he has to leave,” he added.
