Bawumia assures of incident free Hajj

He said the process has been automated in such a way that potential pilgrims do not have to come and sleep at the Hajii Village for days for their flight to be ready.

“At the comfort of your home, you will receive your text a message, with your details and flight number arrangement. When you arrive in Mecca, government will also provide for all your transportation needs,” he said.

“This year’s Hajj will be stress free,” he assured.

The Vice President’s assurance comes after years of chaotic Hajj organisation.

Touching on other issues, Dr Bawumia said the government is fulfilling its promises.

He also said about GHC200 has been allocated to the Zango Development Fund.

In addition, he said the free Senior High School will commence September 2017.

“We promised a lot of things prior to the elections and we’re fulfilling them. We have allocated Ghc 219 million for the Zongo Development Fund,” he said.

“The President also promised free Senior High School Education. By the grace of God, we’ll start rolling out the policy this September," he said.
