The Minister of Information, Mustapha Hamid, on Friday paid a working visit to the Network Broadcasting Group, operators of Radio Gold, Montie FM, TV Gold and a host of other media outlets.

He was accompanied by his deputies, the Chief Director of the Information Ministry and other officials.

Radio Gold and Montie FM have often been very critical of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), and so the Minister’s visit may come as a surprise to many.

Mr Hamid has, however, assured that the government is ready and willing to work with every media house irrespective of their political affiliation.

The spokesperson of the president Nana Akufo-Addo further asked the managers of the Network Broadcasting Group not to feel reluctant in calling the Ministry, Department or Agency for information.

He, however, cautioned them against false reportage that will seek to make the government unpopular.
