A young man at Nhyiaeso, a suburb of Kumasi in the Ashanti Region has been picked up by the police after confessing that he dug a grave of a popular and powerful fetish priest, Anthony Nimo, for money rituals.

The young man, who has only been identified as Y.B. was said to have looted the grave of the fetish priest who died last year, collected every bone he found and subsequently consulted another spiritualist to perform rituals for him to be rich.

But the spiritualist told him that the bones he had supplied were from an individual who had fortified himself spiritually while alive and hence his bones could not be used for the ritual.

The family of the fetish priest had visited his grave on Thursday morning to perform some rites after a year of his death.

However, the family realised that the remains of the fetish priest were nowhere to be found.

They subsequently lodged a complaint at the Nhyiaeso Police station.

Y.B. was later picked up by the police after he confessed that he had ransacked the late fetish priest’s grave at dawn for rituals.

He had before then behaved weirdly after stripping himself naked on the streets of Nhyiaeso.
