About 4,000 delegates are expected to participate in the congress.

Meanwhile, one of the aspirants in the race has dragged the NDC to court.

Emmanuel Aboagye Didieye, Member of Parliament for Afram Plains North, who is vying for the National Organizer slot sued the party claiming he was wrongfully disqualified.

He claims he has enough evidence to prove that some leaders of the party schemed to get him out of the race.

The Deputy General Secretary of the NDC, Kofi Adams has however assured that the party will allow Didieye to contest in the party’s congress only if the party loses the court case.
