Expel Arthur Kennedy from NPP - Amoako Baah

His comments came in the wake of Dr. Arthur Kennedy’s article which accused the party’s flag-bearer, Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo-Addo of scheming to remove from office, the duly elected Chairman and General Secretary

Head of the Political Science department of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Richard Amoako Baah, has said the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) should expel a former flag-bearer aspirant, Kobina Arthur Kennedy from the party.

His comments came in the wake of Dr. Arthur Kennedy’s article which accused the party’s flag-bearer, Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo-Addo of scheming to remove from office, the duly elected Chairman, Paul Afoko and General Secretary, Kwabena Agyepong.

The said article released last Wednesday, warned that the "dumb obsession" of the opposition Presidential candidate to remove "duly elected and loyal executives, bespeaks intolerance in a man who has the potential to be a great leader."

Although some members of the NPP have openly condemned the statement, Dr. Amoako Baah opines that, Dr. Arthur Kennedy be advised to change his ways and if he fails to pay heed, then he should be expelled from the party.

“If I was called on for an advice, I would say that he should be advised to stop what he is doing otherwise he should be expelled from the party altogether”.

“Let us give him the chance to amend his ways but if he doesn’t, let us expel him from the party and once he is not a member of the party, he cannot comment on issues relating to the party.”

“All he is doing shows that he is against Nana Akuffo-Addo and if he is against the flag-bearer then he is against the party. He does not care what happens to the party,”

“They should expel him from the party. It does not matter the so-called Alan camp, Kufuor camp, he is a cancer in the party that must be removed”, he stressed.

“What he is doing should not be tolerated by anyone in any faction in the party. It is inappropriate, unacceptable and in a lot of ways cowardice because if he has a problem, he should come to Ghana and not sit somewhere and write uncomplimentary things about people”, he said on Peace FM’s 'Kokrokoo'.

Dr Amoako Baah also blamed the media for hyping Arthur Kennedy's article by discussing its content. He advised that no attention should be paid to any article he writes henceforth.
