Platinum Sports TV, a new digital sports television station, has signed a partnership agreement with Ghana’s number 1 sports website, Allsports.com.gh, a subsidiary of Ringier Ghana Limited.
Platinum Sports TV which is owned by popular Ghanaian sports journalist, Fiifi Banson, signed the partnership agreement with Allsports.com.gh on January 6, to share exclusive sports contents from both local and international sports scenes.
Platinum Sports TV, which would be launched in February, 2015, has put indispensable measures in place to give Ghanaian sports fans a new digital experience. It will broadcast all the sporting discipline around the world. The new station, according to Mr. Banson, has also come to promote the local sporting discipline.
In an interview with Pulse.com.gh, Mr. Fiifi Banson said “Platinum Sports TV is a digital platform for 24 hours sports which a lot of people already know we are creating this year. We are here to basically do 24 hours sports because of the background that the company has. It’s not just a football station like I keep emphasizing — which means, every sporting discipline will have an opportunity to be shown.”
“We are putting together all the goods that will make it possible for us to have quality contents for our viewers. Some of us are well known for critics so we will make sure that we put together a solid package for Platinum Sports – quality sports presentation, quality studio work and quality productions. Those are the quotations we should have on Platinum Sports” he assured Ghanaians.
Mr. Godfred Akoto, the Editor in Chief of Allsports.com.gh, who signed the partnership agreement on behalf of the website, expressed his excitement after the agreement was signed. “Allsports is excited at the opportunity to collaborate with Ghana’s leading free-to-air sports channel together to provide world class contents for our audience.” he said.
Platinum Sports TV is one of Ghana’s premiere digital sports television stations to be aired soon.
