Seven MMDCEs sacked

A statement from the Presidency on Wednesday however failed to give reasons for their dismissal.

 

President John Dramani Mahama has removed from office, seven Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs).

The affected MMDCEs are Anthony Klokpa for Ada West, Kwadwo Nyame Datiakwa for Kintampo South, Imoro Adams for East Mamprusi, Jasper Jato Maoyi for Kpandai and Derek Ohene Asifo for Upper West Akim.

The remaining two are; Stephen Baidoo for Wassa Amenfi East and Moses Adae Fofie for Sene West.

Meanwhile, in accordance with Article 243(1) of the 1992 Constitution and Section 20(1) of the Local Government Act 1993, Act 462 made the following new nominations as Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs).

They are; Frank Pratt for Abura- Asebu- Kwamankese, Margaret Ansei for Suhum Municipal, Alfred Kofi Wukanya for Nkwanta South and Lawrence Ackah Santana for Sefwi Wiawso.

The rest are; Aboore Adongo Phillip for Bolgatanga, Magnus Jacob Yama Tampuri for East Mamprusi, Alfred Donkor for Kpandai and lastly, Apraku Lartey for Tano North.
