Ghana to lose $724m if Trump cuts aid to countries over UN Jerusalem vote

Jerusalem has long been considered a bargaining chip between Israel and Palestine, dating back to Israel’s military occupation of the historic city

His comments comes after the US ambassador to the UN, Nikki Haley, wrote to about 180 of 193 member states warning that she will be taking names of countries that vote for a general assembly resolution critical of the announcement which overturned decades of US foreign policy.

Jerusalem has long been considered a bargaining chip between Israel and Palestine, dating back to Israel’s military occupation of the historic city during the six-day War.

When the final vote went down in the United Nations, 128 countries voted in opposition to Trump’s plan.

According to USAid.gov, which catalogs all financial obligations the U.S. holds with the rest of the world, Trump’s threat would save the United States more than $24 billion — in just one year.

Ghana would lose $724,133,065 for developmental projects if Donald Trump cuts aid to countries.

Some African countries will also lose huge sums of money.
