Kofi Adams who was speaking to Accra-based Asempa FM said they committed the elections into God’s hands but Ghanaians made a decision he believes they will regret.

“Ghanaians will soon realize what it is that they have lost in President Mahama. The biggest mistake Ghanaians made was not to have re-elected President Mahama to continue for another term in office. Only God knows why things went the way they did. We left everything to him (God) to decide who would emerge victorious in  the elections; but all I’m saying is that Ghanaians will remember President Mahama for the greater good that he ensured in Ghana. Just as we remember Jesus Christ for the good He did on earth, so shall we never forget President Mahama for what he’s done for Ghana,” he said.

"On the basis of the foregoing figures to and  the power vested as the chairperson of the electoral commission and the returning officer of the presidential elections It is my duty and privilege to declare Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo as the president elect of the republic of Ghana." Charlotte Osei told the country.

This is Nana Addo's third and successful attempt at the presidency.

The 72 year old astute lawyer's message of running a corruption free government, providing jobs for the youth through his "One District One factory" promise among others stuck with voters who generally wanted change.
