President Mahama urges NDC Supporters to remain calm

The President of the Republic of Ghana has advised the supporters of the ruling National Democratic Congress to refrain from all acts that would disturb the stability in the country, following the 2016 general elections.

The opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) has projected victory for their presidential candidate Nana Addo-Danquah Akuffo Addo, after the Wednesday general election, while the ruling party has also come out that the president is in a comfortable lead.

John Dramani Mahama who has been silent since that time has finally broken his silence by telling the Party faithful of the NDC who gathered at his residence in Achimota on Friday to remain calm, as the EC comes out with the final results.  `

"I thank you for your support and your vote. Reamember that we are a party that respect the rule of law and also to remember that we are the party that is in power so we have more to lose if there is any instability," he said.
