Anthony Karbo wins first time ticket to Parliament

Karbo polled 8,704 votes as against his main contender who polled 7,476 votes of the total valid votes cast.

He won the Lawra seat beating Bede Ziedeng of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in a keenly contested polls.

Independent Abu Samson who severed ties with the NDC could not make any difference.

He polled 5,651 votes while the candidate of the Convention People's Party (CPP) had 124 votes.
