Akufo-Addo’s appointees have begun showing signs of corruption- Rev Martey

Speaking at a forum in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region, the outspoken former moderator pointed to happenings at the Microfinance and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC), urging the president to tackle corruption swiftly.

According to him, the ‘elephant’ size of the government may have also contributed to the early signs of corruption in the government, adding that there was a need for constitutional direction on the number of appointees the president can have.

“A large Government means large corruption. So, we should have a constitutional direction,” he said at a Public Lecture on the Corruption menace in Ghana, organized by the Christian Service University College(CSUC) in Kumasi.
