Mohammed Ibn Chambas denies visiting Bawumia in London

Dr Ibn Chambas served in the NDC administration from 1993-1997 and Deputy Minister of Education from 1997-2001.

Dr Mohammed Ibn Chambas was reported to have visited Dr Bawumia, but a statement from his office has indicated that he is currently in Ethiopia Addis Ababa at the annual AU summit.

A photograph over the weekend went viral on social media depicting Dr Ibn Chambas and the vice President, but the Ghanaian Diplomat said the last time he met Dr Bawumia was in March 2017.

He said "I would like to state emphatically that I am currently in addis Ababa attending an ECOWAS conference. The last time I saw the vice president was in March 2017", his short statement said urging "the general public to disregard this pictures."

His denial of the visit has raised questions as to who is behind the circulation of the images and what the person aims at achieving in the end.
