MPs demand better salaries for effective discharge of duties
According to the MPs the standard at which the public measure the institution should come with better conditions of service.

Currently, MPs are paid around GHS 8,000 monthly while Ministers receive GHS15, 739.
Meanwhile, the President and Vice-President take home a monthly salary of GHS22, 809 and GHS20, 529, respectively.
On the floor of Parliament, MP for Ho West and his colleague from Juabeng said they deserve better also because of the demands their constituents make.
MP for Ho West, Emmanuel Akwasi Bedzrah told Accra-based Adom FM that he takes home less than Ghc 2,000 monthly due to the demands on MPs from constituents.
Leader and Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, Osei Kyei Mensah-Bonsu said lawmakers must be treated well if the demand for accountability is to see the light of day.
