According to her, government is ready to assist entrepreneurs irrespective of their political affiliation to provide enough jobs for the youth.

Her comment comes at the back of allegations made by former deputy Trade Minister, Murtala Mohammed who said processes for the establishment of the the Ekumfi pineapple factory started in 2013 by the NDC.

According to him, GH¢1.2 million funding was secured from the Japanese government and the Central Region Development Commission (CEDECOM) for the project.

Murtala Mohammed allegation comes prior to the sod-cutting for the Ekumfi pineapple processing factory, which will kick start an industrialization policy to get a factory in each district.

But Mrs. Gifty Ohene-Konadu in an interview on Accra-based Adom FM said the NDC MPs who opposed to the policy are among the first people who rushed to her office with proposals.

Though she refused to mention names of the MPs, she said they were the first to rush for contracts.

The programme, she said will provide business support services and capacity budding, mentoring and coaching.

She noted that "It would also provide networking opportunities, assistance with financial planning and financial management, regulatory and legal compliance, links to strategic partners for market and community access."
