In a communique from the party, aspirants are to pay GHS 20,000 for the nomination forms and a whopping GHS 400,000 as filling fees.

However, reports indicate that about seven (7) of the aspirants are planning a boycott of the process over the exhorbitent filling fee.

Speaking on the process on Accra based Citi FM, the Communications Director of the NDC, Sammy Gyamfi said: "In accordance with the regulations for this year’s presidential primaries, nominations will be opened from the 3rd of December so aspirants who desire to contest for the flagbearershp position can pick forms at the national headquarters of the party", he said.
"Nominations will be opened for just two days [3rd and 4th December]. The General Secretary or an Officer appointed by him will be at the national headquarters to issue our forms to various aspirants who will turn up", he continued.
