He is seeking to unseat incumbent Ameen Salifu to represent the people of Wa East constituency.
Dr. Daanaa said speaking to Starr FM, he said he is confident of winning the November 7 polls and subsequently the 2016 elections.
“I don’t think it's surprising if I contest to go to parliament. It’s for the good of the country, our democracy and the whole of West Africa.

“I have done my work on the grounds and I know how fertile the grounds are for me. You don’t go into these things without doing the necessary research. I am confident of victory,” he stated.
With just 10 days to the close of nominations for parliamentary and presidential primaries for the party, a number of party stalwarts have declared their intension to contest by picking forms over the last few days.
