Members of the Judicial Service Staff Association of Ghana (JUSSAG) have suspended its intended partial strike action which was expected to begin on Thursday, November 5, 2015.

JUSSAG suspends intended strike
JUSSAG on Saturday, 0ctober 31, threatened to embark on a strike action if government fails to pay their allowances in the next two weeks.

This is because government has given assurances to JUSSAG to pay all outstanding allowances by Friday, November 6, 2015.
A statement signed by JUSAG Deputy General Secretary, Charles Osei Bonsu said the latest decision to strike has become necessary because meetings with their employers have so far been unsuccessful.
“We are disheartened that all efforts to realize the payment of our allowances amicably have proved futile”, the statement said.

The Statement also detailed a new road map for industrial action beginning Monday November 2.
"Monday 2nd to Wednesday 4th November, 2015 all members are to wear red arm bands at work nationwide."This will be followed by partial withdrawal of service where all staff are expected to report to work at 12noon."On Monday November 9 all members are to embark on indefinite strike nationwide should the earlier efforts fail to catch government’s attention," the statement added.
JUSAG had earlier on in May embarked on an industrial action over unpaid outstanding allowances detailing leave, fuel, overtime, and other allowances.
The action was however suspended after the Employment and Labour Relations Minister, Haruna Iddrisu moved in to promise that the allowances will be paid.
