Local Gov't Ministry hits Northern Region

The Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development will on February 1, 2015 relocate to the Northern Region where the sector Minister and his subordinates will work for some number of weeks.

The sector Minister, Julius Debrah and his team will tour the entire Northern Region to get acquainted with the development needs of the people. The team will also inspect governments completed and ongoing projects in the region.

This will be in fulfillment of President John Dramani Mahamas pledge in his State of the Nations Address to take governance to the doorsteps of the locals. Deputy Minister of Local and Government, Nii Lante Vanderpuye made the pronouncement at a media interaction in Tamale.

The Odododiodio constituency Member of Parliament said the Local Government and Rural Development Ministers team will on February 7 join the chiefs and people of the various districts in the Northern Region to make the ongoing National Sanitation Day exercise a success.
