2 arrested as police thwart robbery attempt

Two armed robbers were gunned down by the police when the gang of six robbers entered the West Hills Malls to rob.

Police at Weija, a suburb of Accra, foiled an attempted robbery on Sunday afternoon at the plush West Hills Mall in Accra.

The personnel of the Ghana Police Service however managed to shoot two of the suspects who are currently in their custody.

The Police have mounted a manhunt for the four remaining suspects who are still believed to be within the premises of the mall.

The gang of six robbers according to eyewitnesses entered the Silverbird Cinemas at the mall where they fired gun shots and attempted to rob.
