Pressure is still mounting on the boss of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), Mr Kofi Portuphy to relinquish his position as the National Coordinator.

The call for Portuphy to leave the post was first made by the Member of Parliament for Tema East, Hon. Nii Titus Glover and has been backed by a group calling itself Concerned Branch Executives of the National Democratic Congress. The group stressed that the NADMO Coordinator must step down in the spirit of fairness and the principles of democracy.

The latest to join the wagon is ace journalist and Managing Editor of the Insight newspaper, Mr Kwesi Pratt Jnr who has added his voice by the many Ghanaians calling for the head of the NADMO boss.

Speaking on an Accra based radio station, Peace FM on Friday, Kwesi Pratt questioned why the NADMO coordinator is still at post.

“He must understand that he is the leader of the party. This practice where leading members in government also take up appointments on boards of state institutions must stop,” he added.
