KKD Case Adjourned to January 22

An Accra Magistrate court has adjourned ace broadcaster Kwesi Kyei Dakwa (KKD) rape case to January 22, 2015.

The court presided over by Justice Adwoa Akyaamaa Ofosu adjourned the case again because according to the judge the bail application of the accused is being heard at the Human Rights Court and is awaiting the ruling on that case.

The bail application was adjourned to January 13, 2015 after prosecution lawyers said they needed more time to study a new 34 paragraph affidavit served them by KKD's lawyers.

The ace broadcaster appeared in court on Thursday limping. It is believed that he is headed to the Police Hospital for treatment.

KKD is standing trial for allegedly raping one Ewureffe Orleans Thompson, a 19 year old lady at the African Regent Hotel. He has denied the charge adding that it was a consensual sex between the two.
