"Every country in the world needs to be prepared to deal with terrorism and security and Ghana is not unique in that," he said.
"I think that we are becoming better prepared but we always need to be vigilant. If I have one message it is that we need to work together. It is an international problem and requires an international solution."
Meanwhile, Ghana has introduced new security measures at airports across the country. As part of the measures all passengers will be screened before entering the departure halls at the airport.
The new arrangement will also affect people who park unauthorised vehicles in front of the terminal. The airport square will also be decongested and military and police presence will be increased.
