Mahama to open Kasoa interchange today

The project is financed by a loan facility from the Brazillian government and construction is being done by a Brazilian company Queiroz Galvao.

The interchange is expected to reduce considerable traffic on the Accra-Cape Coast road. Residents living beyond the toll booth at Tuba and into Kasoa have had to endure stressful travels on the road.

The project is a 270-metre interchange with two overpasses on the main Kasoa-Winneba Road, the 33-kilometre Kasoa-Obom-Amasaman road and 20 kilometres of road in the Ga South Municipality and Kasoa. Work began in December 2014.

Urban areas that will benefit from the 95-Kilometre asphalt roads included Cape Coast, Winneba, Elmina, Mankessim, and Agona Swedru.

President Mahama will also commission Elmina Bridge and Fish Processing Factory and the Kotokuraba Market.
