Nana Addo leaves Togo for Burkina Faso

President Akufo-Addo will return to Ghana from the first phase of his tour on Sunday, May 7, 2017

Nana Addo began his tour to Togo by road and was met at the Aflao border by the Togolese President, Faure Essozimna Gnassingbé, together with hundreds and hundreds of Ghanaians on May 2, 2017, where he sought to deepen Ghana’s bilateral relations with Togo.

The president's visit to Burkina Faso is also aimed at deepening Ghana’s bilateral relations and also to reiterate Ghana’s full commitment to the ECOWAS project.

Nana Addo will leave Burkina Faso on May 5 for Cote’ d’Ivoire where he will stay until 7 May to end the first phase of his ECOWAS tour in the month of May.

In the remaining days of the month, Nana Addo will visit seven countries. He will visit Nigeria, Senegal, Guinea, Benin, Cape Verde, Liberia and Sierra Leone.

The President is accompanied by the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Hon. Shirley Ayorkor Botchway MP, and officials of the Presidency and Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
