JHS pupil jailed 35 years for stealing

A pupil of the Madina Number 4 Junior High School in Accra has been sentenced to 40 years imprisonment for theft.

 

Junior High School pupil of the Madina number four JHS GilbertKwasi have been sentenced for Thirty five years in prison for robbery.

Gilbert who was sentenced with two other suspects Yaw Barkloe and Micheal Ampong by an Accra circuit court presided over by Justice Francis Obiri,was  found guilty on two counts of conspiracy to commit robbery and robbery.

According the police the three robbers who were part of Gang of Four, with the fourth person currently at large on the 10th of June  attacked and robbed one Hannah Yawson of Sixty pieces of T-shirts and other clothes valued at over ten thousand cedis in her boutique in Ashaley Botswe a suburb of Accra.

They were subsequently  arrested upon tip off  and arraigned before court. The three admitted to the offense and subsequently pleaded guilty in court to the two charges leveled against them
