On the penultimate day of the competition the hosts’ men’s handball team won 39-19 against their counterparts from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
The University of Ghana (UG) put up a scintillating performance in both men and women handball competitions on Friday in the ongoing GUSA Games.
The win means UG’s male handball team has won all of their seven games, while the University’s female team also won their game against KNUST.
In other games, the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) also beat the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) 58-49.
Meanwhile, the Hockey competition finally came to an end with UG and University of Cape Coast (UCC) being crowned champions in male and female competitions, respectively.
Also, the University of Development Studies (UDS) also won gold in the women’s football competition.
The University of Education, Winneba (UEW) won silver, while UG emerged as bronze winners in the women’s football.
Also, debutants Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) won gold in musical chairs.
