UT bank promo UT Bank targets 80,000 customers with new promo

The six month promo will give new and existing customers exciting offers, Mr Acheampong said.

UT Bank has rolled out a new promo aimed at Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), individuals and local traders to "significantly improve their savings cost."

Addressing a press conference today 3 February, 2016 at the UT head office in Accra  to unveil the new promo dabbed "Switch Over", Mark Kwame Acheampong, General Manager of Retail Banking at UT bank said the new promo essentially gives the SMEs the "opportunity to do more".


The six months promo will give new and existing customers exciting offers, Mr Acheampong said.

He also said they [UT Bank] have targeted 60,000 - 80,000 customers with the promo.

Explaining further, he said "The exciting aspect for us is that our new customers or any customer that switches over to UT Bank within this period gets a lot of financial benefits. First of all, a customer that moves over gets a free visa card, they do not pay for the visa card, we give you a free cheque book, you do not have to pay for the cheque book. We give you free account maintenance. We believe that that financial savings allows you to do more with your money and not pay to bank services. So we give you the opportunity to do more with your business with us."


In addition to that, he said, customers have to maintain a minimum balance of GHC300 and above  " we give you an exciting gifts that you can take with you from UT Bank and the more you increase this in perpetuity.., every time that you increase more than your previous balance by 300 we give you exciting gifts to allow you to do more.

"For existing customers as well, if you increase your balance by more than 300 hundred cedis every month, we give you exciting gifts," he added.

Mr Acheampong also announced "other exciting products" such as the electronic banking and Fonbank.

The Fonbank allows you to do "inter-bank transfers, purchase mobile credits, view your  [account] balance, view your [account ] statements and allows payments of salaries at the comfort of your home," he said


Meanwhile, Mr. Stephen Antwi-Asimeng, CEO of UT Bank in a statement commented that, “As a bank that understands the needs of our customers, we constantly strive to develop innovative solutions to meet their needs. We are encouraging you to” Switch Over to UT Bank and “Let’sDoMore”.
