2016 Women's AFCON Black Queens duo named in tournament Best XI

Linda Eshun and captain Elizabeth Addo have been named in CAF's Best XI for the 2016 Africa Women Cup of Nations

Black Queens duo Linda Eshun and captain Elizabeth have been named in the 2016 African Women’s Championship best eleven team.

Elizabeth Addo who captained the team at this year’s Championship scored three goals and contributed immensely to the team’s bronze winning feat.

Linda Eshun emerged as Ghana’s best defender and scored her first ever international goal in Ghana’s 3-1 win over Mali.

Also Portia Boakye and Janet Egyir were named on the six-man substitute list.

Runners-up and hosts Cameroon dominate the list four players while winner Nigeria had three players.

Ghana beat South Africa, who had  two players selected, 1-0 on Friday to win bronze.

Goalkeeper: Annette NGO NDOM (Cameroon)

Defenders: Meffoumetou Tcheno FALONE (Cameroon), Osinachi OHALE (Nigeria), Janine VAN WYK (South Africa), Linda ESHUN (Ghana)

Midfielders: Jermaine SEOPOSENWE (South Africa), Raisa FEUDJIO TCHUANYO (Cameroon), Elizabeth ADDO (Ghana), Gabrielle ABOUDI ONGUENE (Cameroon)

Forwards: Ugochi Desire OPARANOZIE (Nigeria), Asisat Lamina OSHOALA (Nigeria)

Substitutes
