Black Stars have jumped to 9 points and are still on top of group H of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers, while Mozambique after the 3-1 loss to Ghana are still languishing at the bottom of the table with no point.
The Black Stars continued their unbeaten home run in competitive games, since losing to Cameroon in 2008.

The game against Mozambique on Thursday was Ghana’s 102 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifying game, winning 63, drawing 21 and 18 losses.
Ghana's 3-1 win over Mozambique was their first ever campaign in an AFCON qualifier on a Thursday.
The Moroccan referee Bouchaïb El Ahrach, was the same knight of the whistle when Ghana thrashed Egypt 6-1 in the 2014 FIFA World Cup play-off in Kumasi and once again he supervised Black Star beat Mozambique 3-1.
John Boye scored his 4 international goal for Ghana, with Jordan Ayew fetched his 11 international goal for the Black Stars, while the Anderlecht midfielder, Frank Acheampong, whose goal opened the scoring against Mozambique on Thursday scored his 2 international goal for Ghana.
