Carlos Tevez in line to become world's highest-paid player

Carlos Tevez is set to become the highest paid footballer in the world when joins the Chinese Super League revolution with an incredible £615,000 per week deal at Shanghai Shenhua.

The 32-year-old returned to his homeland to play for his boyhood side Boca Juniors, that was meant to be his final destination until retirement after nine years playing in Europe.

The lure of the vast riches on offer in the Far East have proved too much for the Argentine hitman who is expected to sign a two-year deal estimated to be worth a staggering £65million, more than £600,000 per week.

Tevez’s dosh eclipses Cristiano Ronaldo‘s new deal at Real Madrid, the 2016 Ballon D’or winner signed a new deal at the Bernabeu worth a mere £365,0000 per week.

The former Manchester United and Manchester City striker may have signed off from Boca in the best possible style, he hit a double in the Superclasico win against fierce rivals River Plate.
