Black Stars captain asks forgiveness for Kevin-Prince Boateng and Sulley Muntari

Asamoah Gyan says we should forgive Sulley Muntari and Kevin-Prince Boateng and move on as a country.

Prince Boateng and Muntari were suspended from the Black Stars during the 2014 FIFA World Cup tournament in Brazil due to indiscipline.

Al Ittihad midfielder Sulley Muntari allegedly slapped a Black Stars management committee member with Germany-born Ghanaian Prince Boateng insulting then coach Kwesi Appiah.

The Ghana Football Association officially asked for an apology from the players before they are recalled into the senior national team, the Black Stars.

Sulley Muntari has officially written to the GFA apologizing for his actions with Kevin-Prince Boateng yet to submit his apology.

Shanghai SIPG forward Asamoah Gyan speaking in an interview with Happy FM said that management of the senior national team of Ghana should forgive Muntari since he has already apologized.

Gyan however stressed that it is up to Black Stars coach Avram Grant to call players since he selects players for the senior national team of Ghana.

“At the end of the day, it is up to the coach to decide whether to call him [Sulley Muntari] or not. We are Ghanaians and I think anytime they are ready to return to the national team, the people of Ghana should forgive them and move on,” Gyan told Happy FM.
